The Enneagram consists of nine basic character types that are expressed by humans in the world, and how those character types work and operate in our lives. The workshop will include materials to help you start determining what your Enneagram Type is. We will cover the basics of how you can start using the new awareness you gain through your study of the Enneagram for spiritual growth and to increase spiritual maturity, within a Christian context. Specifically, we will uncover the three primary foundational growth paths you can utilize the Enneagram for.
Perhaps you have never heard of the Enneagram. Perhaps you have heard of it and are not sure about it. Perhaps you are simply curious. We urge you to come and investigate one of the most effective vehicles around for discovering new insights about yourself and others, such that you can engage in relationships with a path for deeper efficacy and connection.
Some topics we will cover:
- How to be a more authentic, full expression of the person God has created you to be.
- Increasing awareness of what gets in the way of deeper connection to God and others and how to work through those obstacles.
- Have you ever been in relationship with someone where you felt like you were always “missing” each other in your communications? Where you felt like they were coming from a completely different place and did not get your concerns and what was important for you? We will cover how to identify the dynamics of this type of relational breakdown and how to break through to authentic connection.
- Have you ever desired to be more authentic in your life—to be more true to what is so for you for the purpose of creating connection and value for others and yourself? We will identify several aspects of how to engage this in a fresh way.
- Do you struggle at times with judging yourself and others? We cover strategies that effectively interrupt the tendency to judge.
- Do you sometimes wonder why you are defensive at times? What is going on in your unconscious that is driving that? We cover several aspects of that and what to do about it.
- Do you sometimes wish you had a deeper capacity for empathy, especially with people who annoy you? We will lay the foundation for deepening empathy in your life.
- Do you desire deeper connection with God? The spiritual growth paths we cover support you in deeper connection with both God and yourself.
- Would you like to discover more about what you don’t know that you don’t know regarding what makes you tick and how you can most effectively engage your life? You will receive insights regarding this.
- Would you like some specific paths you can take to increase your spiritual maturity and accelerate your spiritual growth? This workshop will offer multiple spiritual growth paths.
This workshop is an interactive learning environment, including lecture, participant work sessions, group sharing, one-on-one sharing, and reflection times. All materials required for the workshop will be provided.
